We collared Sebastian de Halleux (top dog for Social Gaming at EA Games) and asked him for advice on brands getting into social gaming. No brand has cracked Facebook gaming to the level that games like Farmville have, and hear he gives some insight into why not.
Top tip 1 - make the game for the player, not for the client.
Top tip 2 - don’t spend all your money on graphics. Spend it on gameplay.
Top tip 3 - get it out before it’s finished, and allow time for evolution and modification once it’s out in the wild.
